ARTIST STATEMENT
This piece tells the story through a seemingly simple title: Ismee. I didn’t pick the name; she revealed it to me. To my delightful surprise, Ismee translates to “It’s my name” or “My name is” in Arabic—the very answer I sought when I asked her, ‘What’s your name?’. And she replies: “My name is!”. I initially thought Ismee was short for ‘It’s me!’ What unravels is a painting that gracefully mirrors not just my essence, but yours and that of everyone else. Whether one is captivated, irresistibly drawn, or indifferent, this artwork invites a shared reflection for all who encounter it.
Ismee is not merely a singular entity; it reflects diverse dimensions all at once. Like an intricately crafted mirror, Ismee invites us to peer into different realms, capturing the subtle essence of our being with each contemplative gaze. It unveils some layers of our blueprints, offering insights beyond our immediate connection with ancestors and guides who intricately intertwine with our energy field.
This painting mirrors not just me but you and everyone else, whether they are interested, drawn to it, or not. Beyond genders, ethnicity, and status, we are all energetically, electrically made of the same intricate, brilliant, and purposeful design through which our spirits incarnate. We are not meant to be constantly aware of our bodies throughout the day. This heightened awareness often arises in the presence of medical or emotional challenges. When we feel pain, we are called to pay attention. It is the way in which higher consciousness communicates the presence of an emotional imbalance or a crisis. This information is transmitted through conduits of energy and electrical signals, connecting organs and systems for your greater good, always, when nothing interferes. Ismee offers the beginning of an understanding of how little we truly know, beyond established science, about ourselve and the need for reconcilliation between Science, Spirituality and Art.”
Within this ethereal tableau, vibrant light language frequencies materialize, visually expressed through light language inscriptions encircling her head, organs, and energy centers, commonly known as chakras. This portrayal encapsulates the perpetual flow of information embedded in the very fabric of existence.
DETAILS
Ancestral Connections
The ancestral ties depicted in this painting extend to the root of our bodies—the sacrum, our lower energy center that governs our sense of safety. It’s no coincidence that we anchor our ‘support system’ in this safety zone. As we delve into the intricate writings encircling the head, a revelation emerges: we are all inherently wired for telepathy. The pulsating light language surrounding us incessantly transmits information, accessible to those who open their intuitive channels.
Heart & Throat Chakras
Ismee further reveals the profound nature of our heart-centered being. From the smallest node at the core of our heart, electricity transmutes into light, radiating outward. This radiant energy is intricately linked to our throat chakra—the epicenter of expression and materialization. An impulse or desire is born in the belly, ascends to the heart for evaluation—what does my heart feel about it? Upon validation, the energy flows to the throat, where expression and formalization manifest. Ismee thus becomes a visual symphony, echoing the intricate dance of energies within us.
The first organ created in the fetus is the heart, followed by the tongue. “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God,” as the Bible says. The heart receives the frequency of love, and the tongue translates it into reality. The tongue serves as the transmuter of the formless into form. This signifies that your words matter; they shape reality. They bring a concept you hold dear into a tangible reality. While a vibration may be abstract, once spoken, it becomes concrete.
“Use your words wisely,” Ismee advises.
Posture
You may have noticed that one arm is down while the other one is up.One arm reaches towards the ground, while the other extends towards the heavens; one arm pulls down, while the other pushes up, bringing forth both descent and ascent. Ismee holds the same posture as the Magician from the tarot card deck. The Magician points to the Universe and to the earth, using this relationship to create and manifest his goals in the physical realm. He is the conduit that converts energy into matter.
Through her body posture, Ismee sends us the following encouraging message: “Stay in balance, and you will have all the energy you need to achieve your potential and fulfill your desires.”
